Generalist

Counselling offers the opportunity for individuals, couples and families to talk though issues and ideas and address feelings and experiences which may be causing difficulties. Counselling can help with personal issues, grief and loss, mental health, behaviour problems, trauma, relationships, abuse and much more.

Senior Adult Counselling

We all have times when we need some help in our lives. Counselling offers the opportunity to talk through issues and ideas and deal with feelings and experiences, which may be causing difficulties. Home visits can also be arranged.

Family Violence

A Family Violence Regional Counsellor provides counselling for people experiencing or who have been affected by family violence related issues; provides information for Men’s Support Services and Group work for women and children affected by family violence. Family Violence counselling can offer help with – understanding forms of family violence and impact; recognizing patterns of family violence; self-esteem and confidence; guilt; dealing with anger; grief and loss; depression; effects on children; risk assessment and safety strategies and referral to support services & resources.  This service is provided for all residents in Northern Grampians Shire and some areas of the Wimmera.

Family Counselling

The counsellor offers the opportunity for you and/or family to discuss issues or concerns confidentially in a safe and accepting environment. The counsellor’s role is largely to assist you to draw on your own strengths and resources to identify resolutions to problems and assist in exploring options to make life choices clearer.

Outreach Counselling Regional Health Service

Funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing in partnership with Stawell Regional Health, this program is specifically targeted towards communities of less than 200 residents.  Provides family, relationship and general counselling services to residents of Marnoo, Halls Gap, Landsborough, Navarre, Great Western and Glenorchy.

Men’s Behaviour Change Program

The program provides men with the opportunity to address inappropriate behaviours and learn new ways that are respectful and non-abusive.  The group provides a safe environment for you to learn about more respectful behaviour and understand your situation.
