The Balgartnie Centre’s Home Based Outreach Support (HBOS) is a provision of support in the individual's own home which facilitates access to community services and assistance with activities of daily living.
The Outreach residential support is available to people living in public housing, private rentals or ‘own homes’.

Carers may also prevail upon the HBOS program in order to help facilitate or develop coping mechanisms or strategies, Access assistance, explore respite options or just take ‘time out’ to discuss current situations and difficulties.

Eligibility criteria.
The following selection criterion provides a guideline for the Balgartnie housing worker to determine the suitability or appropriateness of a client to receive assistance through the Housing program.

• Be aged between 16 and 65 years.
• Have a diagnosed mental illness.
• Participate in case management with Grampian psychiatric services if required.
• Be deemed to require the assistance of a housing support worker.
