Balgartnie provides an opportunity to monitor the mental health of members. Support is offered when individuals encounter challenges, assisting them in maintaining the highest level of functioning and providing early intervention when necessary.
Balgartnie offers a safe ‘home like’ environment were individuals are accepted, where they are encouraged to expand their knowledge, enhance skills, develop interpersonal skills, build confidence and self esteem.
It introduces people to others who have met similar challenges in their lives and expands people’s social and recreational opportunities as it helps them move on with their lives.

- Interpersonal Development groups with a psychologist
- Leatherwork
- A variety of Arts & Crafts
- First Aid courses
- Relaxation sessions
- Fire safety and Awareness
- Creative Arts and Drama
- Regular Woodwork classes
- Computer and ‘Desktop’ publishing skills
Or assistance, personal or financial, with accessing community based options like TAFE or the neighbourhood House, etc.
