Balgartnie provides psychosocial rehabilitation support to the Central Grampians region and incorporates Ararat, Stawell, St.Arnard, Avoca, Beaufort and surrounds.

Balgartnie caters for people with a psychiatric illness and provides a safe, friendly environment where people are accepted as valued members of our community, having equal rights and opportunities. The program concentrates on people’s skills, abilities and strengths to enhance their self-esteem, quality of life and independent functioning.

The Balgartnie Centre works closely and in a collaborative way with all referral agencies. These agencies include Grampians Community Health, Grampians Psychiatric Services, Community AXIS, East Grampians Health Service, Centre of Community Health, Office of Housing and many other Community based services/agencies.

The Balgartnie Centre is auspiced by Grampians Community Health which underpins the Management and direction of the Centre and provides continuing support. Grampians Community Health also provides access to a variety of support and counseling services that may be required by members.
